VRChat: What is VRChat and how did I import my plumper model as a character?
In times of Covid-19 you are very likely looking for new hobby and since I have a VR headset, I looked around a bit and came across VRChat. VRChat is a software which allows you to talk virtually without transmitting a video signal and communicating with a live video stream like in one of the numerous video chat apps but VRChat works more like a multiplayer computer game. You pick a (okay, let’s say it like it is: 16 or more...) character ...

Samsung Odyssey Plus in Germany?
One of the best Windows Mixed Reality headsets (besides the much more expensive HP Reverb) is unfortunately not officially available in Germany. At the moment it is relatively cheap to buy it in the USA and so I took a look at it and decided to buy it there. Meanwhile it has become very easy howl Amazon US sends this product to Germany. It used to be much more problematic when you had to order a kind of trustee service to buy it and then have ...

I’m not completely satisfied ...

Mixed Reality - Controllers have dropouts? Here is the solution...
Lately I’ve been annoyed that unfortunately one of my MXR controllers had dropouts. Funnily enough always only one and mostly the left one, however today suddenly the right one behaved in such a way, which brought me on the solution of the problem. It’s not the controller itself that has a problem, nor the MXR headsets or the like, but the problem is the Bluetooth connection! If you also have such a problem, you should therefore ...

Mixed Reality - Controller (Part 3)
Interacting with the virtual environment in MXR/VR systems requires some form of input device. Classical controllers like the XBox controller or other gamepads could also be used, but tracking controllers are much better suited to make full use of VR’s capabilities. These controllers can be recorded in space using various tracking methods (optical, infrared, gyroscopic, etc.) and thus also displayed in virtual reality. So you can e.g. display ...
