Breathing mask from the 3d printer

A company from Baden-Württemberg called "Cast Solut" has developed a respirator that can be produced by injection moulding and that reduces the use of filter material to about 1/5 of a normal respirator. Well done one can only say. Of course things get even better if you can download the 3d data for it and print it out on your home FDM printer. The 3d model is available on the website - thanks for that :). But when I downloaded it, I noticed ...

Jewellery from the DLP printer Elegoo Mars

I am still at the beginning with the DLP printer but I have already found some nice ways to use it... Here for example for some small necklaces as little birthday presents: As expected, the resolution is very, very high, especially considering the size of the printed parts. More of this will be available here in the near future.

The basic equipment for a resin printer like the Elegoo Mars

While FDM printing can pass practically next to the desk, with UV resin-based printing you have to take safety precautions and also carry out a washing and curing process after printing. The Elegoo Mars: The new guy in town

After my MarkBot Replicator 2 and 2x (both Fused Deposition Modelling printers), I now have a new 3d printer - but this time a Digital Light Processing (DLP) printer. A DLP printer is something completely different from a FDM printer, because here, plastic is not melted and stacked on top of each other like with a hot glue gun, but a 3D printer, where UV light is used to cure a reacting resin layer by layer. The synthetic resin (called resin) ...

Revised: The smaller version or how the design evolves

It’s been a while since I built a door stamp design for the work that should just say to people: Sorry, I’m busy right now. Please come back later. After we’ve been using these door ramps for a while, most of them are broken now. That wasn’t really the design itself, but the fact that the traffic lights were directed downwards. This brings with it a serious problem: If you push the handle down, the door jam is pushed through its rigid ...

Tablet Holder for DJI Mavic Air from the 3d Printer

Recently it was my birthday and I got myself a DJI Mavic Air - that’s a semi-professional camera drone. Such drones are typically controlled from the perspective of the drone with the support of live views and of course a eye-side view of the pilot himself. DJI Mavic Air Fly More Combo A smartphone display is often used for this purpose. But also big smartphones make the handling as well as the recognition of the details very ...
